Only add useful items: Don’t just fill your kitchen or dining room with unnecessary furniture. Every item that goes in here should fulfill a clear purpose.
Get more seating than you need: Think of the future by choosing a table that seats more than you need. This will help you to arrange parties or cope with a growing family.
Create a focal point: Choose a focal point where people meet to talk and eat at any time of the day. This can be a table, sofa, or breakfast bar.
Add dining room talking points: Make your dining room more interesting by adding talking points. This can be an interesting display cabinet, for example.
Don’t make it too crowded: Avoid the common mistake of making these rooms too busy. It is important to leave space to get around safely while carrying hot food or tools.

How to Extend Kitchen Cabinets to the Ceiling

It's been over two years since we've done this project, and I'm still so happy we did! We got extra storage, plus the room looks larger/taller because your eye is drawn all the way to the ceiling! If you, too, have thought about extending your cabinets, this might be a great way to do it - though keep in mind, depending on the depth of your cabinets, this may either note work for you, or may need some modification based on your own measurements. I moved into a new apartment and the landlord wants the kitchen to stay as it is. Unfortunately, it does not have a dishwasher. :( I wonder whether it is possible to place a small Dishwasher under the sink. The width, height and depth of a small dishwasher are appropriate, but I am very uncertain about the pipes. I don't know how I could wire them.
