Farmhouse Dining Table Makeover
You know I love reloving dining tables and here is another one I intended to do for our home but after sharing the finished results it too was soon sold.
I love old pedestal tables that go from round to oval. So when I saw this classic oak round pedestal table with leaf, yes please!
After a good deep cleaning and repairs, The top of the dining table was lightly sanded with a sanding sponge and wiped well.
To refresh the dark stained top I used the last of the discontinued antiquing Fusion Tough Coat applied with a damp applicator sponge.
Allowing each coat to dry then lightly sanded with a sanding sponge 3 coats were applied in total. After a few days the top was sanded with a paper bag and a coat of clear Fusion Furniture Wax applied for a soft sheen.
The base and table apron were painted in Dixie Belle Paint color fluff. I used the flat medium Dixie Belle synthetic brush to apply for a smooth finish. Two full coats were applied for the perfect coverage.
When dry everything was sanded again with the sanding sponge to give the paint a soft buttery feel and distress the edges lightly to keep the aged look. To further enhance that aged feel brown Dixie Belle's best dang wax was brushed in all the nooks and crannies with a dedicated Dixie Belle premium chip brush.
Complete and back together looking amazing!

Round pedestal tables are best thing you can have in your eating space. My 48” round seats 7 with narrow chairs (my family’s size) no sharp edges to hit your hip on. No problem with legs in your way and perfect for b fast and lunch; dinner in dinning room. Cozy gatherings. Plus great for games. I have two outside poolside. Can’t imagine entertaining without them
