How to Decorate a Mirror

Choose a color scheme: Choose a color scheme to complement the decor in the room your mirror will hang in.
Add a frame: A frame doesn't always need to be wood. You can create a frame by cladding the mirror’s sides with clay or plaster.
Embellish your frame: Select embellishments that introduce the color scheme you selected earlier. Beads, ceramic tiles, shells, or crystals work well.
Add hooks or a frame stand: Place a small mirror on a picture frame stand to display it. A large mirror will need hooks to wall-mount it.
Keep mirrors shiny and beautiful: Dust your mirror frequently and wipe it down with a wet cloth. This will ensure it always looks magnificent.

I have a very small hall bath & the door opens into the bathroom, taking up even more space, so I wanted to replace it with a sliding door. I bought an arched mirror on clearance and mounted it to MDF, framed it out and added trim and molding on sides for privacy. I purchased the MDF from Home Depot and they cut all the pieces to size for me. I bought the barn door hardware on Amazon. I am pretty handy, but installing the hardware was challenging. It may have been just the one I bought because I had to make modifications. Look for one with easy installation.

That title is a mouthful, but really this project deserves a thorough name. To put it short and sweet, we took down the large mirror in our main bathroom and replaced it during our renovation. It had been sitting in our girls playroom, acting, as a makeshift dance mirror for over a year until one day I had the idea to turn it into the mirror of my dreams. I've been wanting a large, floor mirror for a while, and I love the Primrose mirror from Anthropologie and the Amelie mirror from Arhaus, but my budget was not in concordance. Some creativity and wrestling of our vanity mirror later, and I had my dream mirror. Here's how it went down!STEP 1: BUILD THE FRAMEI used I used picture frame moulding to create a frame. Using wood glue and staples to secure the mitered corners (cut on my miter saw). I used corner clamps to hold everything in place while the glue dried.
