When building Built-ins: What is the best way to do shelves? Using cleats/supports around the shelves, doing the pre-drilled holes with pegs, or using a dado type groove to slide the shelves in?
We have installed mdf style shiplap in our bathroom. Unfortunately, there isn’t any drywall behind the new shiplap. What kind of hardware can we use to attach a pipe and wood shelf without worrying that may eventually pull out of the shiplap wall? The picture below is identical to the type of shelves we would like to attach to the shiplap.
Want to hang 3 shelves roughly 29 inches long/ 6 inches high. I’ve got 8 foot walls, cathedral ceiling. We up cycled some old barn wood and some metal troughs. Used some barn wood to put in the troughs to make the shelves. Shelves are very cool, will look awesome on the wall.
