Table Makeover With Liquid Wood
I discovered this game changing product that helped me makeover a veneer table top!
My dining room table has been around the block and last year I attempted to refinish it. I started sanding and realized it wasn't real wood when I burned right through to the MDF. I was able to fix it with a dark gel stain but I always wished I could somehow make it lighter.

Liquid Wood is a paintable layer of 66% recycled real wood! You don’t have to sand or strip your furniture, you just paint it right on to give it a new wood surface. Apparently you can even use it on things like plastic and metal!

My kit even came with a graining tool if I wanted to add more dimension and grain to my table top.
After three coats of the liquid wood I was able to stain my table like regular wood! I used the Retique it stain color in “pecan”. It gave it such a nice warm color!
Next, I used their “weathered wood” glaze to add a bit more gray.
It turned out incredible! I got a brand new table without having to buy a brand new table! This project was so easy. Lastly I sealed the table top with Polycrylic.
