We Made a Bar Out of a Painted Dresser!

After remodeling the whole house, we needed a bar space. So we used mostly leftover items to re-purpose a bar and a hanging lamp.
I bought a plain dresser that had been painted white for $40.00
Leftover bead-board was added to the sides then it was painted with some leftover paint. Leftover trim was added to complete the look.
A platform was added to lift it to bar height and drawers and tracks were taken out and a wine holder was made and a door was made of an old kitchen cabinet door. The wood top was re-purposed wood from our fire pit decking. It was sanded then polyurethaned several times.
Now we have more seating and a place to store things and entertain!
Lots of storage space. Napkins and utensils can be stored in the drawers.
Comfy conversation.
Now....we just need a lamp over the bar.
I bought the cage for $25.00 and re-purposed the silks in other vases around the house. I had the lamp fixtures. I bought them over a year ago and didn't know how to use them.
A lighting kit was bought at the hardware store and affixed to the cage.
Just a few tweaks and Voila!
Ambiance.
Love my new lamp and bar!
