1. Tackle the Junk Drawer

We all have a junk drawer! Start by pulling everything out so you can see what you’re working with.

Add a few small drawer organizers to divide the space and keep items contained. Group things loosely by category as you refill the drawer.

When you find random items that don’t belong, put them back where they actually go in the house.

The result? Items are much easier to find, and your drawer is no longer a chaotic catch-all.

2. Organize Charging Cords

If charging cords are constantly falling all over the floor, try sticky cord holders attached to the side of a nightstand.

These keep chargers off the floor and within easy reach. Pull the cord up when needed, and tuck it back down when you’re done. It’s a small change that makes a big visual difference.

3. Contain Kids’ Shoes

Entryways often get cluttered with shoes.

Shoe pile

Grab a large basket and make it the official drop spot for everyone’s footwear. This keeps shoes contained, prevents tripping over piles of sneakers, and creates an easy system for little kids to follow.

4. Organize Kitchen Drawers

If your kitchen drawers are messy, start by pulling everything out and wiping the drawer clean.

Use drawer organizers to compartmentalize utensils and gadgets, then place everything back neatly.

This makes cooking so much easier because you can find what you need without digging through a jumbled mess.

For frequently used utensils, place them in a decorative pot next to the stove. It looks nice on the counter, is functional, and frees up drawer space.

5. Corral Toys in the Living Room

Toys scattered across the living room can make a space feel chaotic.

Toys

Grab a decorative basket and gather all the toys in one place—like superheroes, dolls, or cars. Slide the basket under an end table to hide the toys while keeping them accessible for kids to play with.

6. Create a Drop Zone in the Entryway

Keys, backpacks, jackets, and random items can pile up quickly in the entryway.

Entryway clutter

Create a drop zone with a few wall hooks for coats and backpacks, and a decorative bowl for keys, wallets, sunglasses, and small essentials. When everything has a home, clutter doesn’t stand a chance.
