Collect your used coffee grounds – your garden will thank you later!

1. Collect Your Coffee Grounds

The first step is to gather enough used coffee grounds. I mean, you don’t want to be running out of your precious grounds halfway through the process! If you drink coffee regularly, you’re halfway there. Simply save your grounds after brewing.

If you don’t drink coffee, ask a friend or visit your local coffee shop – many will happily give you their used grounds for free.

2. Prepare the Area

Before applying the coffee grounds, you’ll want to prep the area. Clear the space of any existing weeds (yes, a little weeding is still necessary) and give the soil a quick rake to loosen it up.

This will help the coffee grounds make better contact with the soil, allowing them to work their magic more effectively.

3. Spread the Coffee Grounds

Now it’s time for the fun part! Sprinkle your coffee grounds directly over the weeds you want to eliminate. You can cover them completely, but don’t pile them on too thick. A thin, even layer works best.

The grounds will dry out the weeds and block sunlight, suffocating them. If you’re trying to prevent weeds from growing in a new area, just spread a nice, thick layer across the entire soil surface.

4. Let the Coffee Grounds Work Their Magic

Now, all you need to do is sit back and relax while the coffee grounds do their job! The weeds will start to wither away.

Over time, the coffee grounds will break down, adding nitrogen to the soil (which is great for your plants). In the process, they will suppress weed growth.

Possums also take care of small rodents they don’t care if they are dead so if you have a mouse from a trap toss it in the yard just helping the food chain. They are helping with ticks and other unwanted insects and animals it’s part of the cycle. Woodchucks will eat the weeds if you don’t want to try this… Eco friendly will keep us in fresh water

No! Cleaning vinegar works better, cheaper and doesn't attract ants.
