Back With Another Basket Idea
I was left with quite a few dollar store baskets from an old project and I decided to see what else I could do with them. I thought I would them to create a 3 tier basket stand.
This project is for anyone who needs help organizing and finding ways to store fruit in the kitchen.
I suppose it could work for storage in any room, like if you wanted to use it for organizing extra toilet paper rolls in the restroom, for example.
To start, you're going to need a couple of hanging dollar store baskets.
Once you get them, take off the chains (my chains are already off because of an old project)
Other materials you'll need:
- A tomato cage 42”
- Heavy-duty wire clippers
Turn the tomato cage upside down so that the legs are sticking up.
Using the clips that come on each basket, hang each basket on each circle of the tomato cage.
You can see I used 2 clips on the third circle down (the largest circle) and it was perfect.
Now, clip off the extra wire legs at the top (which is really the bottom) of the tomato cage.
Now you have a three tier stand!
If it's too big you can easily cut off one of the baskets and circles and make it a 2 tier stand
This is how it looks holding fruit
Enjoyed the project?
Suggested materials:

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
This was a great idea and I was thinking that if you leave the hanging chains on the top one you may be able to hang it up also.
Would it hold flowers like trailing plants for outside in the spring? I could see that.
my husband's car is white and with the sprinklers water in the front is a horrible yellow color, what to use to clean that, and the lights too, thanks
