I thought my utility room was looking a little plain and boring and lacked in storage. We hadn’t done much to it since we moved in so I decided to give it a revamp. I am very happy with the results!

This was it before. I had put up some frames and a drying rack but hadn’t done much else with it

So I took down all the frames and left the blank wall ready for the floating shelves to go up

This was the shelf I used. One was 80cm and one was 100cm

I measured out the space on the wall and then I put the brackets up for each shelf

The 2 shelves then went onto the brackets ready to add baskets and accessories

These were the linen baskets I got. I got 3 of them to hold washing powder, tumble dryer sheets and wax melts etc

To label each basket I got chalk peg boards to place on them

cheap and cheerful way to label the baskets and still keep with the rustic country kitchen look I was going for

I then placed the 3 baskets in position ready to dress with other accessories

I got a new laundry room print and put it in a frame

I bought a trailing plant pot (this was originally orange but I sprayed white)

Accessories all placed and the shelves were finished

And I was done! Over the moon with the finished result! Cheap, quick and easy way to transform a space with floating shelves and baskets

Since you don't use the microwave, why have it there taking up valuable real estate counter space?

Removing it completely would then give you proper folding space.

I’m curious, why do you have a microwave in your laundry room?

The clothing rack! Is it a homemade or purchased? I just love your creativity.

What a difference! Love the shelves and you definitely have a flair for making things pretty! That’s an enjoyable laundry room.

P.S. you can keep a Shetland pony in there if you want to, it’s your laundry room! 🤣❤️

No reason why a laundry room can’t be pretty, and yours is lovely 💕. Your laundry sign cracks me up, and just thinking you could heat up a nice cup of coffee (or whatever) in your microwave while doing laundry!😜
