Using Stamps on Painted Furniture
A while back I painted two antique kids chairs and I fell in love with how they turned out so I knew I had to create a matching table as well. I finally found the perfect one!
The right products and tools make creating one of a kind pieces a breeze! Here's what I did step by step to create this finish:
Once I found the perfect little side table to go with my chairs I gave it a good cleaning and a light sanding. I then sprayed it with a white chalk style paint (slightly watered down), using a HVLP sprayer.
I made sure my rubber stamps were nice and clean and gathered the colors I wanted to use.
These stamps come on a big sheet and can be cut and separated for easier application. You can adjust the amount of paint you apply to the stamp based on the look you want to achieve.
While the paint is still wet place the stamp where you want it and press down. Easy peasy!!
I used multiple colors and layered my stamps as well.
These stamps give a gorgeous hand painted look in a fraction of the time.
You can also just apply paint to part of the stamp and completely customize your piece!
Once the paint was completely dry I used a medium grit sanding sponge to distress the edges. You can also lightly sand over where you applied your stamps to distress or soften the look. I applied a coat of wax to the entire piece to protect the finish.
This is now the perfect space for a little tea party!

What a great way to use stamps for something different. I love finding new ways to use my craft hoard for different things. Great idea and it really does look lovely!
