Soft, Fluffy, and Adorable! - How to Makeover a Dollar Tree Bunny Butt

I love decorating for Easter, but sometimes the store-bought decorations just don’t cut it.
Take this Dollar Tree Bunny Butt—cute in shape, but covered in scratchy tinsel.
So, I grabbed some chunky yarn and transformed it into a fluffy, soft bunny perfect for spring!
If you love easy and affordable Easter crafts, you’re going to love this one!
Tools and Materials:
- Dollar Tree bunny decoration
- White chunky yarn
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
- Scissors
Hometalk Recommends!
1. Remove the Tinsel
Start by removing all the tinsel from the Dollar Tree bunny frame.
It comes off quickly, but pay attention to how it was wrapped—you’ll use that as a guide for rewrapping with yarn.
2. Wrap the Bunny with Chunky Yarn
Once the tinsel is removed, begin wrapping the bunny frame with white chunky yarn.
To make it easier, follow the same wrapping pattern as the tinsel.
Simply thread the yarn in and out of the wiring until the entire frame is covered.
3. Add Yarn Around the Feet
To keep everything looking seamless, wrap and glue yarn around the bunny’s feet as well.
This helps blend everything together and gives it a polished look.
4. Make & Attach the Pom-Pom Tail
Now for the final touch—a fluffy bunny tail! Make a pom-pom with the same chunky yarn and glue it onto the bunny's backside.
I also have a video showing this process on Gilbert Marketplace Youtube Channel.
