Pumpkin Arrangement for Fall
For this project I used a large faux pumpkin, but you can use any size pumpkin, real or fake for this easy fall decoration. This will look fantastic anywhere in your home, on the hearth, on a sideboard or on a kitchen island.
I cut a standard block of dry floral foam in half. I will use just one half of the block.
This should give you an idea of the size of the foam. Once again, the size of the pumpkin will indicate the size of your foam.
If you are using a real pumpkin, you might want to cut the stem down. I simply pushed the foam down over the stem on this pumpkin. I used floral anchor tape to secure the foam to the top of the pumpkin. Use two pieces to do this and for extra security, I taped a small piece over the end of each of the strips.
You can use any fall florals you would like, but I began with some pods of cotton and dried cotton pods stuck into the foam, bending them down around the edge of the pumpkin.
I added fall leaves around the base of the foam, again, bending them down over the edge of the pumpkin.
This photo gives you another view of the arrangement thus far.
Add additional leaves and fall picks to the foam working up around and toward the top, filling in.
After I added all of the fall leaves, I finished the top with fall mums and fall berries.
My pumpkin is ready to put on display and enjoy through the holidays until it’s time for Christmas!
