Fall to Halloween: Transform Your Porch With Festive Pumpkin Planters
When those spooky vibes start filling the air and pumpkins pop up everywhere, you know it's time for some serious fun.
But hold up, what if I told you there's a ridiculously easy and pocket-friendly way to not only embrace the fall spirit but also transform your porch into a Halloween wonderland?
Get ready to dive into the world of Festive Pumpkin Planters – the ultimate trick to decking out your porch with a touch of Halloween magic that also carries the essence of the fall season.
1. Purchase Pumpkins
Run, do not walk, to Walmart where plastic pumpkin pails are only $1.00 while supplies last.
For one planter, purchase 5 pumpkins.
2. Rebar Placement
Purchase 4' rebar rods and place them into a pot (yellow circles). Secure with stones and soil.
I made two planters so I purchased 2 rebar rods and 10 pumpkins.
3. Cut the Handles
We don't need the handles so cut them off with scissors (yellow circle)
4. Drill Holes
Drill holes in the bottom of each pumpkin, big enough to fit onto the rebar rod.
5. Slide on the Pumpkins
Slide the first pumpkin onto the rebar and place it in the pot.
6. Fill with Soil
Fill the pumpkins and pots with soil.
7. Plant Flowers
I chose to plant mums, at this time of year, they are on sale.
8. Continue Planting
A - Slide the next pumpkin onto the rebar and tip it to the left. Add soil and a plant
B - Slide the next pumpkin onto the rebar and tip it to the right. Add soil and a plant
C - Slide the next pumpkin onto the rebar and tip it to the left. Add soil and a plant
D - Slide the next pumpkin onto the rebar and tip it to the right. Add soil and a plant
Festive Pumpkin Planters Tutorial
If you turn the pumpkins around (so the faces are towards your house), add a festive fall mat and a wreath, you're ready for Autumn.
And...
Once Halloween rolls around, just turn the pumpkins so the faces are towards the street, put out a fun Halloween mat and you're ready for trick or treaters!!
Simple, fun, and oh-so-spooky, these planters are your ticket to porch perfection this Halloween and throughout the autumn season.

Dollar Tree does not have them here, either and I've never heard of Five Below( except as a temperature. lol) Amazon has a lot of small ones (3 inch) but they want $11 to $17 for one 8 inch one, and Walmart on line is almost as bad. They have the ones shaped like a bucket, but I don't think those would work. I'm really disappointed because I like the topiary very much.

What was the other stick on pot when you first starred?
I have extremely tiny ants on my kitchen counter, how can I safely get rid of them. They are not like the normal sized black ant. I have granite counter tops.
Rebar is kind of expensive. Any thoughts on alternative bars? Would wood dowels work?
