Create a Concrete Paver Planter!
What do you do with 9- 18" square pavers left in your yard from the previous owner? Apparently there is actually a lot you can do BUT I decided to go with creating planters from these behemoths. Yeah, they're heavier than they look.
Here's what you'll need:
-4 pavers
-Cement Glue
-Exterior paint
-clamps

These pavers had been in the ground for a while. When I pulled them out of the ground they had bugs, moss and algae growing all over them. Gorgeous😬
These gems clearly needed a good scrubbing, so I enlisted help from my oldest. With a brush and soapy water he scrubbed 'em down, particularly where the pieces would be glued together.
Then they sat out for a couple hours to dry.
Glue time! I chose Gorilla Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive after comparing it with the other options at Home Depot. This just looked the best! I was also super excited to use the cool gun thingy.
I used my fancy gun and construction glue and applied the glue in a curvy motion on both sides of 2 pavers.
Then I quickly placed the other pavers against the glue and clamped them tightly to dry. This glue sets in 30 minutes which is awesome if you want to get your project done in 1 day.
I also added glue to the interior corners of the pavers to keep the sides together and water tight.
When they were dried and set in place, I painted them black, filled with dirt and some sweet flowers.
I really liked how these turned out. And good thing too because they're so freaking heavy, hurricane Irma couldn't move these suckers.
So unless you're Hulk, definitely put these together in the spot youre going to use them. Other than that, enjoy this easy and fun DIY!

Hurricane Irma! I love it! That was my first hurricane ever. How'd they hold up during Ian? The planters are awesome. I love the black because it makes the color of the plants pop! Great job. Thanks for sharing with all of us. (I'm actually going to try this now. Wish me luck.)

Nice job! And you certainly saved a lot of money. Planters that size are expensive! Love the black! Thanks for sharing! 🌺

good idea. But how does the water drain from the planter after you water the flowers?
How porous are those pavers? I'd suggest painting the inside with water proof paint (i.e., Drylock) before cementing the pavers together.
The items listed wasn’t in the pictures like the different clamps and different glue so which is it?
