Herringbone Pattern Accent Wall

My kitchen was very ho-hum and boring, so I decided to spice up a little corner of it with a cute herringbone accent wall! It took some time and patience, but I love the interest that it adds. http://www.thriftyandchic.com/2014/05/painted-herringbone-accent-wall-with.html
This is the finished result! Definitely added some interest and brightened up the kitchen a ton!
Here's the corner before, just super boring and beige.
I used ScotchBlue painter's tape to create the pattern. It took a little bit of measuring at first. I decided to do 8 inches between vertical stripes and angled stripes. For more details on the how to, visit my blog for step by step directions.
This is the pattern all finished with the painter's tape. Took a couple of hours to do.
I painted over the tape with some paint, waited a few hours for it to dry and then peeled off the tape.
I even decided to conquer the archway, so glad that I did! Couldn't be happier with the results
Enjoyed the project?
