Front Porch Curb Appeal

3 Materials
Our front porch needed an update. It had metal iron railing that was wobbly and chipped cement stairs. We took an afternoon and removed the iron railing replacing it with wood posts, new hand rails, painted the cement steps white and covers up the black top walk-up with white rocks. Now it feels like the home it is- a beach house that is walking distance to the beach.
We removed the metal railing, screen door, front door and lighting.
Front steps were painted with a fresh coat of white paint that is meant for outdoor steps. Took out the screen door and replaced the old door with a new wood door.
New window boxes help frame in the windows and brighten the house with all the white. White pebble rocks from Lowe's that are about $3 a bag went right over the top of the black top walk-up. We used about 20 bags. Inexpensive update.
Front door paint is- Valspars Blue Coal

Looks Great!! My house looks almost like yours, and I was going to just replace the black iron columns with white columns and add black porch iron rails, but after looking at yours now I think I should go all white, and use wood for porch rails. My question is the porch rails wood are another substance?

I was wondering what type of brick pavers you used to stop the white rocks from spreading into the grass. I am worried that every time I cut the grass, clippings will land on the walkway. Have you had trouble to maintenance of the rock (dirt or grass clippings or moss getting stuck)?

I love your front door. It says you bought it at Lowes, but I can't find it. Do you have a model # on the frame?

I wrote before not realizing you had finished the project! It came out so beautiful! A really dramatic change! I actually like this color scheme better than navy and yellow as a matter of personal taste, but I have seen navy used on the house before and admired it!

This inspired me to do the same to our porch! Only our porch is brick, so I stained them instead of painting them. This was just what I was looking for to give our home that country charm! Thank you.
