Sometimes even a small DECOR can make big changes in your room. I love to make such type of Crafts which are very easy to make but looks great when displayed. Here is such one type of DIY... perfect as a decor suiting any corner of your house.
So lets get started...
Follow the above video tutorial to make your own unique CANDLE HOLDER or You can also follow the step by step tutorial given below.. I hope I will be able to pen down the tutorial nicely!!
Take a Glass container/jar preferably which is having a plain surface without any texture. I have used the one with 6cm length and diameter of 8cm, but you can use the one you have or like.
Now with the help of black Fevicryl 3D outliner or black Puffy paint make squares and rectangles as close as possible with each other to get that Mosaic kind of effect and let the shapes dry completely before starting with the next step.
This is how it will look after covering the whole area with squares and rectangles of different sizes.. So lets move on to the next step...
Now pick your favourite shades of Nail polishes to fill in all the shapes we made earlier. I am going in with Dark blue, Orange, Maroon, Pearl white and Green colour polishes.
Fill all the shapes with the polishes you have chosen and look how colourful it will turn out. Let the polishes dry completely.
And this is the end result.. So pretty and colourful!!
Now place a candle in your newly made Candle holder and get mesmerised by its effect..
Keep it in any corner of your house and enjoy the colourful shadow effect coming through the glass due to Nail polishes.

I hope you liked this easy DIY and will give it a try!!

Yes, I like the finished project, but would a black perm. Sharpie work easier than the other materials?

  • Ticia Ticia on Jul 12, 2019

So I'm unfamiliar with Fevicryl 3D outliner or black Puffy paint - are they 2 different paints or one is both? TIA.

Couldn't you just use Elmer's glue mixed with black paint for the lines? This would save purchasing another craft paint. Though, it would then need to be sealed so it won't wash away.
