Patriotic Felt Wreath
Using felt for projects is not only economical, but so easy! The colors are vibrant and perfect for our take on the Patriotic Felt Wreath.
I used a thin piece of cardboard to hand draw a simple teardrop shape to use as a template for the felt pieces used in this project.
Cut as many pieces as you can fit on a piece of felt. I used 5 sheets of red, white and blue felt for this project and used just about all of them. After I traced the template onto the felt with a pencil and cut them out, I found it was much faster to cut two pieces of felt at a time.
Overlap the bottom edges of the felt piece to make a petal shape. Use straight pins to attach to a wreath form. I used a straw wreath form, but you can get the same affect with a Styrofoam wreath form.
Starting at the outer edge of the wreath form, work to the inner edge in a scallop pattern.
Attach the blue pieces last. I used white foam star stickers to finish the wreath. You can use a dab of hot melt glue if you are afraid the stickers won't hold.
I love the swirled effect! It does take some time to cut all of the felt pieces, but it's well worth it!

Can you give a idea about how many pedals on a sheet you give and is it a 12x12 square and size wreath. You can use plastic spoon.
