Follow along with these simple steps to create a ghost flower vase that you’ll love.Â
Tools and materials:
- One large clear vase
- One smaller vase (that fits inside the larger vase)
- Battery-powered string lights
- Spiderweb pack (stretchable fake spider webs)
- Ghost eyes and mouth cut-outs (made from black paper or any dark material)
- Halloween-themed stems or flowers
- Clear tape
Table of contents
1. Prepare the smaller vase
Start by wrapping the battery-powered string lights around the smaller vase.
Make sure to leave some lights visible at the top for the glowing effect.
If needed, use a small piece of clear tape to secure the end of the light string at the top of the vase, so it stays in place.
2. Place the smaller vase inside the larger vase
Once your lights are in place, gently put the smaller vase, with the lights wrapped around it, inside the larger clear vase. The lights will add a glowing effect between the two vases, creating the perfect ghostly look.
3. Add spider websÂ
Take a section of the stretchy spiderweb pack and gently pull it apart to create a web-like texture.
Carefully place the spiderwebs between the two vases, positioning them all around to fill the space.
Stretching the webs out will give it a spooky, eerie feel. You can add as much or as little as you like, depending on how thick you want the ghostly look.
4. Attach the ghost eyes and mouth
Cut out ghost eyes and a mouth from black paper or another dark material. You can choose traditional round eyes and an oval mouth, or get creative with the shapes!
Use small pieces of clear tape to attach the eyes and mouth to the outside of the larger vase. This way, you can easily remove them later without damaging the vase.
5. Add Halloween flowers or stems
Now it’s time to add some spooky florals to our Halloween ghost vase!
Place Halloween-themed stems or flowers in the smaller vase inside the larger one. The flowers will peek out from the glowing, ghostly base, making the whole display stand out.
You could opt for black roses, orange or purple artificial flowers, or even branches with faux spiders or bats.
