Easy Shutter Flag ~
Shutters make the perfect canvas for a simple flag ~ a quick easy project perfect for Memorial Day, 4th of July and beyond…
I like to paint the side opposite the tilt rod (it’s just easier) first I lightly sand, dust and tape them off ~
A small foam brush works great for painting the slats, I’ll use a small regular brush for any touch ups needed and then it’s time to add the stars ~
The best way I found to do the stars was with a paint pen it’s quick and easy and I’m ok with them not being “perfect”
They're finished off with a couple coats of clear sealer so they can be used inside or out ~
I’ve made a bunch of these for friends and family this one I kept for myself ~ love it in my garden :-)
