Hacks to clean a toilet
1. Removing set-in toilet stains with denture tablets
Begin by assessing any set-in stains inside your toilet bowl. These can be stubborn, but we've got just the solution. Drop denture tablets into the toilet bowl. The effervescent action will help break down and lift the stains.
Allow the tablets to sit for 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the severity of the stains.
After the designated time, use a toilet brush to scrub away the stains. You'll be amazed at how well this trick works!
2. Cleaning under the toilet seat brackets
To ensure a thorough clean, it's time to remove the toilet seat. Locate the screws or bolts that secure the seat to the toilet bowl. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the screws or bolts. Lift the seat off the brackets.
Clean under the brackets with a mild cleaning solution or disinfectant. This area tends to accumulate grime that often goes unnoticed. Once cleaned, reattach the toilet seat by securing the screws or bolts. You'll be surprised at the difference this simple step makes!
3. Properly drying the toilet bowl scrubber
After completing your cleaning routine, don't forget the toilet bowl scrubber. Instead of leaving it in the holder, take an extra step.
Place the toilet bowl scrubber between the toilet seat and the lid. This allows it to air dry effectively and prevents mold growth.
By keeping the scrubber in this position, you ensure a clean and dry tool for your next cleaning session.
