I needed a place to serve food and drinks on our patio when entertaining. I purchased an old dresser and went to work
This is the before pic of the dresser I purchased for $35.00
We removed all the drawers
My husband cut the wood out were the drawers use to be
Time to sand the entire dresser for painting
Cutting wood for new shelves
putting in the new shelves he used a nail gun to attach the shelves
we removed the top of the dresser
We used a milk chocolate colored outdoor stain on the drawers ,sides and feet of the dresser and an outdoor sand colored paint on the rest . Added new hardware to the drawers. I was going to put caster wheels on but changed my mind because I love the chunky bun feet
Our friend cutting and routering a edge on a piece of corian he had
Added new drawer pulls a towel ring and paper towel holder to the other end
After pic of the finished island. I use the 2 drawers to store paper plates ,napkins etc.
First time using the island ! Worked out great
Enjoyed the project?

Absolutely beautiful job done on this amazing island. Would definitely find a spot in my kitchen for this. Love the style, paint colors and the corian counter top used.
