How to Make a Cute Plastic Cup Organizer From Dollar Tree Supplies

I was strolling through Dollar Tree the other day (you know, just to “look”), and spotted a six-pack of clear mini plastic cups in the party aisle. Something about their size and stackability got my DIY brain spinning.

One quick hot glue session later, I had a cute little arched organizer that fits right on my bathroom counter. It’s simple, it’s satisfying, and it actually looks good.

If you love easy, affordable storage hacks, you’ll definitely want to try this one.

Grab a $1.25 six-pack from Dollar Tree

1. Arrange Your Cups

Lay out your six plastic cups on a flat surface. Line them up in a slightly arched or curved shape (like a rainbow lying down)—this is the layout you’ll be gluing.

Use small dots of glue for a clean, mess-free hold

2. Glue Cup by Cup

Grab your hot glue gun and plug it in.

Once it's heated up, add three small dots of glue along the side of one cup—one near the top, one in the center, and one near the bottom.

Gluing two clear cups together

Quickly press another cup up against it, lining up the edges evenly.

Hold in place for a few seconds until the glue sets.

Repeat this process until all six cups are attached side-by-side in that same gentle curve.

3. Let It Set & Place It!

Once all the cups are glued, give your organizer a minute or two to fully cool and harden.

Now you’ve got a sturdy, lightweight caddy ready to use.

I’m using mine to hold cotton rounds, bobby pins, tweezers, and makeup brushes in the bathroom. But it would work just as well on a desk for pens and scissors, or in your craft room for washi tape and paintbrushes.

Bonus Tips for a More Polished Look

Want it to stay put?

Add adhesive bumpers or a little strip of double-sided tape on the bottom so it won’t slide around.

Need more cups?

You can totally expand this! Just grab another pack and keep gluing. Try stacking a second row on top in a pyramid shape.

Want color?

Spray paint the entire piece for a custom look (make sure your paint is plastic-friendly).

Easy, cute, and under $2

This is very doable, nice looking, little organizer. Thanks for sharing your very creative idea. I am wondering if you could drill a couple of small holes (or even just one hole) in the bottoms of each 'cup' before gluing together without cracking them? If so, this could be a very fun way to start herbs (or whatever) on a sunny windowsill.
