Dryer sheet hacks
1. Freshen Up Your Laundry
One of the most common uses for dryer sheets is, of course, in the dryer! Simply toss a dryer sheet in with your laundry before you start the cycle. Your clothes will come out smelling amazing and feeling super soft. This is a great way to infuse your wardrobe with a lovely scent.
2. Dust Electronics and Furniture
Dryer sheets are fantastic at picking up dust. Grab one and gently wipe it over the surfaces of your electronics, like your TV or computer screen, and your furniture. The anti-static properties of the sheet will help prevent future dust buildup, leaving your home cleaner and fresher.
3. Freshen Your Pillows
For a sweet and soothing scent every time you walk into a room with decorative pillows, take a dryer sheet and tuck it inside the pillowcase. You can even cut the sheet into smaller pieces if you'd like. This simple trick will make your room smell fresh and clean. It’s especially great for those who enjoy a subtle fragrance.
4. Keep Your Sofa Smelling Fresh
No one likes a musty sofa! To keep your couch smelling inviting, slip a couple of dryer sheets under the cushions or in the crevices. They'll absorb odors and release a pleasant scent every time someone sits down. You can also place them under your sofa if you have access to the underside.

Carey Marshall on Aug 28, 2024No Profplumb, you are not wrong. The dryer sheets do put off a residue that will block your screen, so you should clean it periodically, esp if you use them in every load. I only use dryer sheets in a load of clothes that I want to removed static electricity or a load that might have pet hair to remove. I never use on clothes that do not produce static electricity. I do not ever put dryer sheets into a load of dryer sheets.

You can ALSO USE dryer sheets to dust/clean baseboards in your home. They "repel" dust, making that back-breaking job a sinch, and less often!!!
Annnnnddd......YOU CAN STUFF THEM INTO CREVICES WHERE MICE ENTER (they can fit through a 6cm wide hole!) and the smell deters them. They won't want to come in or snatch it for their nests......
