Discover Clever and Affordable Paper Towel Holder Hacks for a More Organized Home
DIY Lipstick Organizer
For our first project, I'll show you how to transform a basic paper towel holder into an affordable DIY lipstick holder. Here's how to do it:
1. Loop and Secure Zip Ties
Take your paper towel holder and some zip ties from Dollar Tree.
Loop the zip ties around the paper towel stand one by one, evenly spaced, and secure them in place.
2. Trim Excess Zip Ties
Use your scissors to cut off the excess of the zip ties. This will ensure a clean and tidy look for your Lipstick Holder.
3. Hot Glue for Extra Security
Grab a mini hot glue gun and add small dots of hot glue to the zip ties. This will further secure them in place, making your organizer more durable.
4. Spray Paint Makeover
Now, it's time to give your stand a stylish touch. Cover the entire stand with spray paint, I chose gold, and allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.
5. Place and Enjoy
Once your stand has fully dried, place it in your desired location. Now you have an easy and chic way to keep your toilet paper organized and accessible.
DIY Toilet Paper Holder
Our next project is perfect for those looking for an easy and cheap idea for Toilet Paper Organization. Here's how to make it happen:
1. Attach Hook to Wall
Begin by taking a clear adhesive hook from Dollar Tree.
Attach it to the wall in your preferred location, making sure it's secure.
2. Position Paper Towel Holder
Grab your paper towel holder and place it over the adhesive hook.
3. Add Toilet Paper
Slide toilet paper rolls onto the paper towel holder's bar and you have a neat way to store an extra roll of toilet paper.
DIY Scrunchie Holder
My final alternative use for paper towel holders is a storage solution for scrunchies and hair ties. This one is extremely simple.
1. Position the Paper Towel Holder
Place a paper towel holder on your vanity.
2. Add Hair Ties
Now, all you have to do is slip the scrunchies over the top, and you'll have a brilliant storage solution for hair ties that is not only practical but also pretty.

Sheros on Oct 21, 2023NO NO NO...never store extra toilet paper near the toilet...have you not heard of splash up...ewww...put it under the sink or even better in the hall closet. Its been proven that particles can get to your toothbrush on your sink. Fine if its yours but most people let others use their washroom.

Lynn on Oct 21, 2023I understand your point. However, the usable toilet paper itself is NEAR the toilet all the time. I always keep my extra toilet paper close by. I have been stuck in a bathroom (at my super clean sister in law's house) that ran out of paper and there were no tissues, no toilet paper in sight!!! It's a horrible situation and I will never put a guest or my family in that situation. If concerned about toothbrushes, just cover each with a tiny paper cup. I do that to protect against hairspray use.
