DIY Homemade Bug Spray for Plants
Try these recipes for homemade bug spray for plants and keep your garden free from pesky little critters who will try to eat your fruits and veggies before you do! Try this recipe to get rid of aphids off your roses and other plants
Watch the video for full instructions and then try the steps below
Mix one cup of vegetable oil with one tablespoon of soap in a jar. Put the lid on the mixture and shake it up. This will be your aphid spray concentrate. You only need a couple tablespoons of this mixture to make a whole spray bottle. You can place the extra in your pantry for when you need it.
Add two table spoons of the mixture into the spray bottle using a funnel.
Fill the bottle the rest of the way up with approx 4 cups or 1 quart of water.
Give the bottle a gentle shake right before you use it and spray it directly onto the plant. Focus on any areas that you see aphids or bugs.
You can spray this directly on the bugs. It will not harm the plants at all but the insects body will get coated with the oil and suffocate them. Sounds kind of mean, but we are talking about pests here, and at least it’s natural!
