Rustic Upcycled Outdoor Chandelier

3 Materials

You will most likely already have the materials needed for this rustic chandelier. Who knew that a tomato cage and some chicken wire could end up being such a beautiful piece of patio lighting?

A little bit of bling for your next garden party? This chandy is SO easy to make!

Trim off the bottom "rung" of the tomato cage, leaving three little legs. Head to the post to see how I folded them over in order to create a "lampshade" of sorts.

Wrap your shade in chicken wire. Use tin snips to trim it.

Decorate as you see fit. I used this fabulous grassy-vine for crafting. Hang it from the tree/umbrella at this point, so that you can add your candles, chain and crystals.

Using craft wire, suspend your candles. I used citronella candles - perfect for the outdoor party.

And the crystal - ooooh... the crystals - a little bit of a bling goes a long way in the garden!

And now you have subtle and beautiful lighting for your garden. Hang it over a table, or put it off to the side as a conversation-starter. Sometimes tomato cages are destined for greatness.... we have to help them realize that!

I was going to try it, but Amazon's website indicated they are out of the Hosley 4" high clear glass LED/ Tea Lite AND they do not know if they will carry them again.

Do you know where else to get them?

Can you do this with a lamp shade if you don’t have a tomato cage?
