Blue pyramid epoxy decor
We began by calculating how much epoxy we will need. The pyramid mould that we bought from Amazon was 2.35 by 2.35 by 2.35 inches. It was really easy, we calculated the volume and divided it by 3 as the epoxy is 2:1 parts. Then, we weighted the cup until we reached the exact weight.
Then, we mixed the two parts together. We usually mix it for a good 2 minutes mix. Afterwards, we poured it to a different container, to be sure that all the epoxy is mixed properly. Then, we put it back in the first container, mixing it again for about 2 minutes. As the epoxy is crystal clear, it is impossible to know it is properly mixed, for that reason we "over mix" it. Better safe than sorry!
Then, we added a pinch of Stardust Micas' Blue Lagoon pigment with a small amount of Ariel Blue pigment, to create an interesting blue resin. The colours work well together. I like mixing two colours together, you can always tell there are different color inside, the powder doesn't dissolve completely. Plus, The beauty of Stardust's pigment is that you only need to add as little as shown in the picture to create a deep color! It's brilliant, a 10gr powder jar can last for months and months.

We poured the color to the pyramid and set to to cure outside in the balcony for 24 hours.
To be honest, I tried to remove it a few hours before the 24 hours mark and it was cure to touch but too soft to remove it completely. Oops.

This silicone mould is perfect! After 24 hours it basically wanted to "pop" outside. It was really easy to remove, compered to other moulds we tried before, which we basically destroyed them as we were removing the epoxy out.
After demoulding it, we noticed the quantity of air bubbles that were left inside. That was disappointing.We learned the importance of mixing the epoxy inside the mould too...
