DIY Decorative Globes - Using Pull Tabs?! Yes!

I was hording pull tabs for the kids school charity event. After the event, we were still in the habit of saving pull tabs, so I had built up a large stash. I decided to get creative and see what I could come up with using the pull tabs.

I made patterns with the pull tabs in Styrofoam balls.
On some of the globes, I used Smooth Finish. This product is made to smooth out styrofoam. I purchased the Smooth Finish at Walmart for about $5.00. I applied the smooth finish using my fingertip to the pull tab decorated globes.

This is a great idea. Did you cut an opening for the tabs first or just push them in?
Do you use a specific type of spray paint? Some paints will melt the Styrofoam !
