I have a lot of friends that are too intimidated to make a fall wreath. They either think it will be too difficult, or they don’t have a wreath form and a hot glue gun.

I wanted to show them how easy and cheap it is to make a paper plate fall wreath craft with just a few odds and ends. Check it out - it’s a great fall decorating idea!

Tools and materials for the paper plate wreath

Tools and materials:

Cutting out the center of the paper plate

1. Remove the center of the plate

I poked a hole with my scissors and then cut in a circle till I cut out the center of the plate. Luckily, my paper plate design had a nice, clean line to follow.

Adding raffia to the wreath

2. Decorate your plate rim

I had a few odds and ends laying around from my other fall decorations, so I pulled them out and got to crafting. First, I added a little raffia.

Gluing pine cones to the wreath

Next, I glued on the various size pine cones I had and my foam apples. The great thing about this project is that you can craft it to fit your tastes and in any theme you want.

Tying a bow with burlap ribbon

3. Tie a burlap bow

I tied my burlap piece into a bow (I like burlap bows!) and added it to the bottom of my wreath.

This was so cheap and easy, I could make one for every door in my house, including closets and bathrooms.

Look how beautiful this paper plate fall wreath is! And it was so light I hung it using 3M double-sided mounting tape. What do you think of this cute fall wreath? Let me know in the comments below.
