Lay a tile in the bath

1. Prepare Your Bathtub

Start by removing your oven racks and placing a towel at the bottom of the bathtub. This simple step will prevent any scratches to your bath during the cleaning process.

2. Arrange the Oven Racks

Carefully place your oven grates on top of the towel in the bathtub. Now, it's time to turn up the heat—literally. Fill the bath with boiling water until the oven racks are fully submerged.

Add laundry powder

3. Add the Secret Ingredient

Take a cup of laundry detergent and generously pour it into the bath. The combination of hot water and detergent will work wonders on stubborn grime and grease.

Soak racks in the bath

4. Let It Soak

Leave the oven racks to soak in the bath for at least four hours. However, for optimal results, I recommend letting them sit overnight. Trust me; it's worth the wait!

After the soaking session, it's time to roll up your sleeves and give the grates a good scrub. Use a scrub brush to remove any remaining residue.

Once the scrubbing is done, take the racks out and let them air dry. You'll be amazed at how clean and shiny they turn out.

No the boiling water would take to long to haul to the tub! By the time I get it all in there the 1st water is going to be cold! Then your towels are going to be ruined! I think this is very stupid! Oh and grease down the drain! Clean them more often and they won't get like that!

I place mine in a garbage bag and spray with oven cleaner, outdoors to avoid fumes. Tie top closed, and let set for a couple hours or so. Rinse in bathtub. NO scrubbing necessary and most of the grud remains in bag.
