I have very hard water! Those rubber nodules on showerhead are suppose to be so great and supposedly all you have to do is wipe them with your finger if they get clogged! That is not true, I have tried everything to keep them clean, including soaking overnight in vinegar!!! Would welcome any suggestions please!!

I stopped using bars of soap and switched to body wash. While I still squeegee the glass doors, I have had no build up. I found that most , if not all, have wax in the compound which builds up and is most difficult to remove.

I did the exact same years ago after fighting soap scum and the residue. I went through a phase where I thought it would be cool to make my own bar soap but I quit because I can’t stand soap scum and the drying effect of bar soap. Switched to liquid soap many years and won’t be switching back.

Body washes do NOT cause the build up that bar soap does. The build up is a mix of soap surfactants & body fat. No problem with body washes, though it is a good idea to dry shower glass off after the last shower to prevent wter stain. I use a microfibre cloth. You can also use a squeegee.
