Make a super unique concrete planter or vessel with those used coffee or pet food foil bags. Tie it with a thick rope - awesome!
Go find some used foil bag; the type from the coffee or other. It is stiffer than the chip bags. You will need:
- Heavy Foil bag from things like coffee, dog food, cat food
- Plastic container that fits well inside the foil bag above
- Stones or something similar
- RapidSet Cementall & Mixing container, water, mixing spoon,
- Gloves & Dust Mask
- Sisal or Jute RopePliers and
- Sanding disc (as seen in my tips post)
Set it up the foil bag and mix up some of the Rapidset cementall and pour in. (full instructions here)
Set the inside container inside the bag forcing the concrete to move up the sides. To keep it from floating up again, weigh it down with something like rocks etc.
Squeeze the centre and tie it. Don't squeeze too tight, there should till be some concrete thickness at the tie line.
Once set, peel back the bag. Pull the centre container out as well.
To finish the edges use some emery cloth or make your own sanding discs of concrete (see my tips and tricks for concrete)
Tie off with a super thick rope. You can make your own by twisting some thinner rope together.
Is it not darling?! I love the texture and details that the foil makes. It is so easy and inexpensive. Each one will be unique. They can be used for plants or whatever.

Can not wait to try it. Would it work using something like a bigger gunny sack and line it with wide aluminum foil (if you carefully made the same shape) and tip it like you did??? Thank you!!
