How to Build an Outdoor Planter Table With Wire Mesh

1. Prepare the Wire Mesh
Start by rolling out the ¼ inch hardware cloth (also known as wire mesh).
Make sure to wear your safety gloves, as the edges can be sharp.
Using a clothespin, mark a height of 22 inches on the mesh.
Now measure the length of the plastic plate you’ll be using for the top, then triple that number to determine the length of the mesh.
In this case, the total length will be 39 inches.
2. Cut and Shape the Mesh
Next, use your wire snips to cut the hardware cloth according to your measurements.
After cutting, roll the wire mesh into a tube shape. Secure the shape with a clothes peg.
Secure the ends of the tube with zip ties.
Place them at both ends and in the middle to hold the structure firmly in place.
Trim off any excess zip tie material for a clean finish.
3. Attach the Top Mesh
With the mesh tube now standing upright, place a pre-cut square piece of mesh on top of the tube opening.
Next, cut several short pieces of wire.
Use these wires to attach the mesh square to the tube by threading them through both layers and twisting the ends tightly together.
Make sure to secure the piece at multiple points around the tube to keep it firmly in place.
Once all the wires are twisted and the mesh is secure, snip off any excess wire.
Finally, trim the extra mesh around the top to match the tube's circular shape, and

5. Add the Finishing Touch
