Over time, towels can become rough, musty, and less absorbent due to detergent and fabric softener buildup. Instead of replacing them, try this natural method to refresh them.

Start by placing your towels in the washing machine with no detergent. Pour one cup of white vinegar directly into the drum. Run a full wash cycle on hot water. The vinegar will break down residue and kill bacteria.

Once the first cycle is complete, keep the towels in the machine. Sprinkle half a cup of baking soda over them. Run another full wash cycle with hot water. Baking soda helps remove any lingering buildup and naturally softens the fabric.

After washing, dry the towels on high heat in the dryer or hang them outside for a fresh, natural scent. Avoid using fabric softener, as it causes more buildup over time.

This simple two-step method keeps your towels fresh, fluffy, and absorbent without the use of harsh chemicals.
