After removing the swivel base. You will need to check the bottom of the chair to see if it's solid enough to attach a base. The base will either need to be made with legs and cross pieces or you could try using the base of another chair.
You can remove the base and then add chair legs. I have seen them in the big box stores. For this type, go with something straight and clean lines.
Four screws to remove the base. The bottom of the seat is either plywood or particle board. Inserts would need to be placed for chair legs or you can buy legs with brackets attached

How can I convert my swivel chair into a free standing chair?
Hi Shar, start by taking not of the height that is most comfortable, then removing the swivel apparatus from the bottom of the chair. You can buy legs at various places, but here is an example of what you will be looking for.

you will need to attach the hardware for the legs to screw into
Drill a hole through both the top and bottom plates (use a drill bit made for metal), then insert a screw. This will lock your seat so it does not swivel, creating a stationary stool. Then Get legs and place them where the chair will be stationary. follow this video for putting the legs on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJ5pkl1mSa8
Once you remove the swivel, here is how to add legs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7Gl7ybWbiM
You should be able to detach the swivel base under the chair. After that, you’ll need some leg hardware to attach on the underside then the legs.
Can you get a chair with legs you like, saw them off, then screw into this seat?
We have purchased legs and added them to chairs, however, sometimes with chairs that have that center support have more support there. If you do add standard leg in the corners, you need to make sure that you have adequate support in the corners.
Buy legs and attach after removing the swivel legs
Hi,
Make a frame as if you were making a small table, but without the top! Sit the chair (minus the base) on top and screw in place.

Would it be ok the other way round? Replacing the 4 legs with a single central leg to covert a dinning chair into a swivel office chair? 🤔
