What kind of glue to use outside.....waterproof?

i want to glue some beads on a bowling ball to make a topiary.

Awilda, I've been making Glass Totems. I bought the Marine glue. It's suppose to dry clear. Well it's white, so I looked on the pack and it said 7 to 14 days. So i'm sticking with my E-6000. I researched it on the internet and it said -40. So here that's o.k. I live in Vincent, Alabama on the other side of Pell City. I haven't put any of these out yet so I don't know how they will hold up, but I also see other people on here use this glue. It is so easy to use the other is not and it dries clear. I wish you luck on the bowling ball, been going to do that. I have a glass ceramic bowl I found at the thrift store i'm going to do that way. So I wish you a lot of luck. It is very addicting, believe me.

Hello Awilda! I have been using E6000 for quite awhile now and I really like it for outside projects but I have to tell you that it takes about 2 days to let it dry completely and the stones will slide around if it isn't completely dry. I would only do 1/4 to 1/2 of the bowling ball at a time. In which case it could take you up to a week to complete the entire project. So what I am trying to say is don't be in a hurry if you use this glue.Best of luck to you! I still have 2 balls to do myself.LOL! So many ideas so little time!

Hello Awilda, I used silicone gllue, from Home Depot. I talked to them about what I was going to Mosaic...the mailbox and they said, without a doubt to use the silicone glue. It comes in a tube and you buy a metal gun that it slides in. It is large to work with but the pieces stuck when I was gluing them. I just did this last year. We don't live there year round. We are about to go up to Pinetop AZ, where the mailbox is, this coming week. I am anxious to see if it is in tack after the winter and all the snow. I also used this glue on an outside table. So fun!

Alwilda, I use a product by Liquid Nails called CLEAR SEAL-all weather sealant. It is a silicone glue. Buy it at Walmart. I've used it to glue glass pieces on bowling balls and I've used it to make glass totems. Because I live in Michigan I do not leave my creations outside in the winter. It's a silicone glue, the pieces tend to move before they're 'set'. I used small pieces painters tape to hold the glass pieces in place until the glue dried. I did small sections and let the glue set before removing the painters tape. My pieces stay outside mid Spring through late Fall and have never come apart.

You can use most any kind of glue that dries clear and many great suggestions have been posted. You could use school glue and then seal the entire topiary with a clear coat of shellac or poly to make it outdoor proof.

I used Gorilla Glue is a 100% waterproof glue, safe for indoor and outdoor use and strong enough to stand up to the elements. There are many kinds of Gorilla Glue look for the clear option.
