DIY Wood Bead Tassel
If you love all things farmhouse then this one is for you! Learn to create this adorable wood bead tassel. Not only is is simple but it makes for the perfect little addition to your existing decor! It's a fun and easy variation of wood bead garland with a little extra touch.
This project begins with just a few basics. Start by by gathering your materials.
Hemp twine
Wood beads
Ribbon
Scissors
To begin your tassel make a closed loop from a piece of your hemp twine. I recommend starting with about 12-15 inches of twine.
Bring then ends of your twine together and tie in a knot.
Cut your selection of ribbon into pieces roughly the same length and drape over the knotted section of twine. This will hide the knot when your tassel is complete.
With another smaller piece of twine, wrap and tie the ribbon near the top. Be sure to keep this area nice and tight as it will be holding everything together.
Next, thread your wood beads onto the other end of the twine. I used 3 different sized beads and ordered them from smallest to largest. They were also different neutral colors.
Once your beads are threaded ties a loop knot and cinch it down close to your last bead.
Embellish lamps, vases or candle sticks with your new tassel!
