Calling all you gnome lovers!!

Here is a cute way to make your own adorable gnome friend for only $2. This fun holiday DIY is kid friendly too and would make a great activity for all ages.

See on YouTube Gilbert Marketplace for all the details

Here is a picture of everything you need:

Slipper (I got these at the Dollar Tree. I love buffalo plaid)

1” wood bead

4 inch board or piece of cardboard

Yarn

scissors

hot glue

First step:

Take your slipper and fold the heel over. If you are a visual learner, I also made a YouTube video showing how to make this project.

Next, you will use the yarn to make a Pom Pom. This is for the hat top take your 4” board and wrap it around

Do that about 30 times to make it look more full

Then slide the yarn off the board (or cardboard if you used that)

Use another piece of yarn and tie it around center and make a knot

Should look like this

Next take your scissors And go through the middle of the loops on both sides and cut. It shouldn't fall apart because you tied the knot.

Now shake off loose cuttings and you should only have your long pieces left

Glue the Pom Pom to top of hat either side works if making the set of slipper maybe one on each side to make a set

Now add the wooden bead to the center of the top of the fur to make his nose

That’s it, super easy and cute! For only $2 you have a great gnome you can add a loop of yarn to the back and hang or add to a wreath

This is where I put my little guy. I also dressed up my wreath with some cotton balls.

So cute! This is one of those things that make me say "Why didn't I think of that?!?" I love how simple it is.

It would be an adorable way to gift slippers to someone if you used double sided tape instead of glue? Maybe that would work.... Idk

I love it! Also need to know what kind of yarn it is and how did you make that cotton ball wreath?? Do you have a tutorial for it? Thanks.

So cute, I'm thinking maybe a wire inside the sock to hold the shape, and hang it on the tree.

It will hold shape for hanging but that extra wire would be great
