DIY Industrial Shelves With Towel Rack

I wanted to buy industrial shelves but I couldn't find any that were the size I needed so I decided it make them myself. This was my first time building anything so it took me longer than it would for someone who knows how to use a drill, saw, and a sander 
Plus, it took at least a million trips to Lowes because I would always need something I didn't have or I bought the wrong size. Anyway, it was worth it because I'm loving how they turned out!

This was what I wanted. Pretty simple, right? I wanted the shelves to go above the toilet, but that did not go as planned. The shelves ended up being really heavy so I needed to nail them into studs instead of using sheet rock screws. I couldn't get them centered behind the toilet so I had to switch walls. 
First, I sawed by 2x8 into the the length I needed and stained the boards gray. i was going for that old weathered look. While that dried I spray painted the bars and brackets in Rustoleum Dark Bronze.
Then, I stained over the gray with walnut and put two coats of poly on it.
Finally, finished and ready to hang.
I figured out where I wanted the towel rack to go and then screwed that on.
