When I switch my little green clean machine on it ends up leaking and causing a mess. I am trying to find the cause of the leak and hoping someone has advice on how to fix it.

I'd reach out to the manufacturer and discuss the issues with them as they'd likely know best what the problem could be. It could be that something isn't seating right or a gasket has given out, it's hard to know.
I would contact the company for the best advice.
If your machine is leaking from the clean water tank or hose, follow these steps to resolve
The water holder jug. Outdoor have a crack ,or the washer could have come off .The washer were you insert the water jug.
Check any rubber flanges for splits.
Inspect for cracks in any rubber flanges. However, the best suggestion I can give is to get in touch with the manufacturer and talk about the problems with them as they'd probably know the problem the best.
Do an inspection and see if you can see where it is leaking from. Then call the manufacturer with the make and model numbers, they will help you troubleshoot the problem. They want to keep you as a good customer, it is in their best interest to help you.
You also might have it under a warranty and you don't want to void that.
Make sure you screw on the clean water cap correctly. (It's easy to miss thread.)
