My tween says they’re “too old” for Easter baskets, but I still want to put something together.

Any ideas for cool, age-appropriate Easter basket fillers that aren’t just candy?

It sounds like a fun idea to gift some unique items for special tweens. You can likely find many items that would be appreciated such as sample lipsticks, nail polish, hair clips, bandanas, stencil tatos, pens, pencils, journals, or many items to do crafting if the tween is into that. Maybe socks, gift cards, favorite food items, baseballs or other sport items such as baseball cards, etc. Maybe special light bulb that changes colors..... You can bet even though they "say" their too old the gift basket will bring a big smile!

Skin care seems to be the big thing for tween girls these days. Find out what they are in to and purchase Blind Bags for those. For example, I gave my 15yo granddaughter a blind bag from Demon Slayer, one of her favorite anime shows.

Hi Emma, hope this helps you, find out what is popular among that age group and pick up a few items. Things like Itunes gift cards. Popular trends with tweens in Canada include gaming, especially Nintendo Switch titles like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, along with items like LEGO, AirPods, and customizable Hydro Flask water bottles. Google play gift card or other gift cards for sneakers.

Hi Emma: My kids loved getting the plastic eggs with money in them. I used $1 bills, and sometimes I stuck in notes with little coupons that I made for them, like "Good for 1 trip to the ice cream store" "Good for 1 time of my making your favourite dessert for dinner" "Good for 1 time of you picking what to have for dinner", Good for 1 time of you selecting what movie we go see." "Good for 1 trip to the store to spend your money however you wish.", etc. They also liked books and, for the girls, jewelry and the boys, age appropriate toys.
