Great for floating in a pool or fish pond during evening events...or creating a unique centerpiece for a fun kids party!
LAMP:
- Cut pool noodle lengthwise (don’t cut all the way through!) and wrap around lamp
- With hot glue, adhere rope around pool noodle (make sure there are no gaps in the layers…you don’t want to see pool noodle peeking through)
Inexpensive way to create nautical lamp without breaking the budget!
STAMPS:
- Cut small sections of pool noodle…cut sections in half to make moon shape or leave as a circle…you can also carve out shapes such as flowers
- Dip pool noodle sections in paint, wiping off excess and use as a stamp
Great for creating quick gifts or for activity for your kids this summer!
PAINTBRUSH HOLDER:
- Measure side of plastic bowl and cut off section of pool noodle to length
- Cut section of pool noodle lengthwise and secure to side of bowl
- Make desired about of slits on top of pool noodle section—slits should not go all the way through—roughly .5-1” deep
POPSICLE GARLAND:
- Cut small sections of pool noodle (roughly 6” each)
- Hot glue popsicle sticks into holes of noodles
- Using a pencil, poke hole through tops of noodles on either side, snake string or fishing line through to create garland
TOPIARIES:
- First, grab a pool noodle and cut it lengthwise all the way down.
- Next, grab a broom stick or any other kind of stick and wrap it with woodgrain contact paper.
- After that, tape the half of the pool noodle to the top of the stick. Then wrap the half pool noodle around stick, creating swirls, taping each section down to the bottom of the stick. Create 3-4 swirls. After the first half noodle runs out, tape the other half of the pool noodle to the taped half, creating one continuous halved pool noodle. Place this into a plastic pot. Wrap any of the excess of the pool noodle in the bottom of the pot so that it fits snuggly. If the pot feels unstable, add some weight in the bottom by using bricks or books.
- Then, tape the noodle to itself to secure topiary top.
- Next, Hot glue moss to all sides of the pool noodle so that you cannot see any part of the noodle.
- If you want a twinkly look - wrap the topiaries with fairy lights, or keep it bare if you like a more natural look!
I hope this inspires you to fake a high end look in your home!

Have a question about this project?
I'm having a problem with gluing the noodles end to end...what glue do you suggest? I used liquid nails, tape and hot glue but after an hour in the sun they popped apart :(
Pictures please?
I can't imagine what you are doing for these projects, where are the pictures please?
