They are definitely trendy these days and will likely come and go in and out of fashion but I think they're a great look with staying power.
As trends and fads come and go, this makes a bold statement, like something that outlines or a picture in a black frame It certainly draws your eye.
I don't think any trend is here to stay but black windows will probably have a long run at it as they don't show dirt like white does.
I think the black window trim trend will be here for quite some time and be a staple for those who love a modern look as it does accent the windows and the view through them. It's like a frame around a picture....really accents and draws interest to the spot.
I think they will stay just as wood trim has stayed thru the years. I say have whatever you like in your home do not worry about trends.
