1. Prepare Your Materials
Before you start, gather your Vicks VapoRub, a Q-tip or cotton swab, and some paper towels. These items will help you apply the Vicks smoothly and clean up any excess.
2. Apply Vicks to Entry Points
Spiders often enter homes through small gaps around windows and doors. Start by identifying these potential entry points.
Using the Q-tip or a cotton swab, spread a thin layer of Vicks VapoRub along the edges of your windows and door frames.
Focus on areas where you’ve noticed spiders before.
Remember, the goal is to repel spiders, not to harm them. The strong scent of Vicks will act as a barrier, encouraging spiders to find somewhere else to explore.
3. Maintain Regular Reapplication
To ensure continuous effectiveness, reapply Vicks VapoRub weekly.
The potency of the scent will diminish over time, so a regular schedule is necessary to maintain its spider-repelling properties.
A consistent application will keep your home spider-free without causing harm to these beneficial creatures.

Tsk tsk. Do you not know that without spiders, this world would be overrun with insects? They are pollinators too in the garden. Google "steotoda spiders" and see these beauties pretending to be black widows but whic are ferocious bug trappers.
