Gnome Tree Stump Home

I found an old stump near the edge of our woods and created this little gnome home. Most of the materials were left over from other projects.
First I cleared the weeds and brush away from the stump. I then drilled holes from the top down to where I wanted the windows to be.
I created the roof and an add-on room. I used grout between the sticks on the front of the roof. I used plexi-glass for the windows.
I used sticks for the posts and hickory nut half shells for the post caps.
I broke up some left over tile and used grout to create this room. The roof is bark from our woods. I bought some moss to glue between some of the bark.
I created the stream and pond from left over styrofoam, blue acrylic paint, and clear flex seal. I used clear silicone to adhere the rocks. I used a flame from a butane lighter to create the waves in the pond.
The stained glass windows were made using plexi-glass, liquid lead, and stained glass paint.
I strung some solar string lights through the stump so the windows light up at night. I strung some solar string lights through the stump so the windows light up at night.

Adorable! The Irish are very superstitious about fairies etc. The Hawthorn tree is never cut away as it is magical and where the fairies meet. In fact roads have been diverted so as not to cut one down. The real history/legend/sightings is very interesting.

I love anything fairy or gnome but what do you do when bad weather hits? Snow, rain, strong winds, etc. Do you take it in for the winter? I so badly want to do some of these but not sure what to do in tough weather situations.
I just love this! I am going to make a Fairy garden, in my old turtal tank. I am planning on creating a woodland magical garden, with a forest type floor, useing a strip off grayish black carpet found on the curb side, and gravel on the top . I am going to smooth the gravel out so bits off carpet show through, then I am going to spread imatation leaves on the floor. What do you think? I am hopping this will look whimsical and magical. There are three post's below this one. Magical garden door, garden walk, and crazy cool uses for tree stumps. These post's are very good, I have got a lot of inspiration and idears from them.
