In 2003, I decided to build myself a cold storage room in my home basement. Homesteaders name this a Positive Cold Room.
The goal was to store garden kitchen vegetable, canning, canned food and beverages. Of course, one of my wishes was to be able to walk in the cold to access to the shelves (Walk-in Cold Room).
I built removable shelves inside and wooden vegetable bins.

EricColbert on Nov 04, 2014That's a gorgeous set-up for pantry storage! And looks really simple too! Can't believe the price to build the pantry was actually this cheap though but what I'd really like to know, is how you keep the cold in though and how you are making the room air-tight. Hope you can share more information on that!

Pascal Tremblay on Apr 06, 2015Eric, see the pipe system back of the shelves. Cold room is located in basement. Basement supply the cold needed.
