Hi Amy, hope this inspires you. My hubby always gets me a bouquet in which he selects all the flowers for our anniversary every year. One had 3 stems with multiple buds and blooms of stargazer lilies. He selected coordinating colors of gladiolas, a small sprig of babies breath, some lacy fern stems and a few carnations of matching colors
I love the simplicity and sophistication of orchids! You can purchase two orchid plants of similar size and color readily available in grocery store flower department and transplant them into a larger pot, then use the little clips to bend the long flexible stems into a heart shape onto the support rods in the pots. Exquisite!
I am partial to wildflowers.
Peonies are my absolute fave but might be tough to get this time of year. Gerber daisies are another fave of mine for their bright, cheery, happy colors.
Chrysanthemums, Carnations, Sunflowers,Lillies, Hydrangeas, Gerbera Daisies are flowers that look fantastic in a vase. Go to your local flower market or Trader Joes and pick out what you like.
