How can I remove hair dye stains from a porcelain-top vanity?
Granddaughter dyed hair black and ruined my brand new vanity top! I've tried bleach and nail polish remover. Nothing is working! Is it a complete losd!
The pics make it look yellow due to lighting but it's not. It is/was very white. Yes I'm ready to scream!

Oh Goodness! Bless your heart! Contact a speciality countertop store, and they should be able to tell you what to do. Good luck!
If brand new, you are still under warranty. Call the store where you purchased and go from there. And never let her dye her hair there again without covering up first with plastic, and old towels over that to avoid any damage.

Yes call the manufacturer. Don't tell them you tried nail polish remover or bleach as both could void your warranty.
That happened to me one time, I was dying my hair black and I spilled it on my walls and on my bathroom sink, I said too myself I will clean it up later, LOL!!! But what a no-no!! so I went and bought Magic Erasers, the hair dye came right off the walls and off my bathroom sink, You can maybe try the Magic Erasers, and see if it will come off, Good Luck Lisa
Or you can try oven and grill cleaner.
Or you can try peroxide, or oven and grill cleaner.
What type of surface is it?
Places that sell salon products carry a hair dye remover. I don't know if it will work on your sink, but it might be worth a try.
I have used lemon slices with the juice, it took awhile but it worked.
It's too late now to try this, but for future reference hair dye will remove hair dye stains while still fresh. Magic erasers work for older stains also.

In four years, is it yet cleaned to your satisfaction? Ha! I’m four years, I bet it isn’t the only stain on the counter.

Yes I found something that worked! I used the hair bleach that she used on her black hair to strip the black dye off of her hair. So I had an ah ha moment and mixed up a mixture of hair bleach, put a good bit of the paste on all the spots, let set over night and they were gone! 🤔😀. And yes I did have to repeat that a few more times for a couple of years. But we sold our house last year. And the sink looked amazing. No stains at all!
Hi Janet, hope this helps you.
Mix some baking soda into a bowl of warm water until it becomes a paste. Using a microfiber cloth, spatula or applicator, place the paste onto the stain and gently rub it in until the paste covers the entire stain. Let the baking soda sit overnight to remove the hair dye chemicals.
Heavy Duty Grill cleaner should work or peroxide and baking soda.
